Conditions We Treat
The conditions we treat at Ideal Physio include
Back pain is the most common condition we see at the Ideal Physio clinic. It is a global problem that effects a large number of people both here in the UK and throughout the world. There are many reasons why back pain occurs such as poor posture, prolapsed discs, facet joint problems and trapped nerves (sciatica). At Ideal Physio we can help to diagnose the cause of your back pain and provide the correct advice, manual therapy and a specific exercise programme to help you get on top of your symptoms.
Neck Pain & Headaches
Yes a real pain in the neck, but neck pain can also refer pain into the upper back, shoulder and be the cause of many headaches. Neck pain can occur for many reasons such as poor posture, whiplash injuries, facet joint problems, trapped nerves and cervicogenic headaches. At Ideal Physio we can help to diagnose the cause of your neck pain and provide the correct advice, manual therapy and a specific exercise programme to help you get on top of your neck pain.
Sport & Exercise Injuries
Here at Ideal Physio we see a wide range of Exercise and Sports related injuries, whether that be an acute injury, overload injury or a chronic issue that simply won’t resolve. At Ideal Physio we will assess the problem, accurately diagnose, provide a detailed treatment plan and rehabilitate a safe return back to your Exercise and Sports activities.
Poor posture can be a major contributing factor to many causes of neck, shoulder and back pain. If you feel that you suffer from that slouched posture or require a specific work place ergonomic assessment then here at Ideal Physio we can certainly help.
Pre & Post-Op
At times conservative management is not the answer and therefore surgery is required for certain injuries. Here at Ideal Physio we have experience of the pre and post-operative rehabilitation process having worked closely with orthopaedic surgeons both within the hospital setting and also in outpatient clinics. You will be in good hands to take you through the specific rehabilitation programme, which will improve range of motion, flexibility and build strength following your operation.
Ante & Post Natal
Throughout the antenatal and postnatal stages of pregnancy the body undergoes a series of changes, often contributing to many lower back, pelvic and hip dysfunctions. At Ideal Physio we can functionally screen for any postural issues, pelvic misalignment, lower back dysfunction and any weakness within the pelvic floor, core and hip.
